White Creek Ruby

Regular price $6.00 Sale

The tallest of all the siblings, and second tallest behind cousin ( A of S12/13), I named it as early as last year when I dug it, because its smallest cloves had produced these shiny red marble-sized rounds. The rounds grew to be remarkable plants, as well as the bulb-sourced material. I'm excited about what it can do for propagation because you may be able to harvest the scapes and treat them like an Asiatic scape. It may be the thrifty farmers new best friend. White Creek being a land of thrifty people, and its coloration reminding me of the rough industrial rubies harvested a couple hours north, makes me think white Creek has found its own form of mineral wealth in this plant.
