Also known as Red Toch, an Artichoke from the mountains of the Republic of Georgia, its hardy origins suggested to me that it would be the perfect softneck for my almost-43 north latitude farm. It hasn’t disappointed- the very first year on my farm it sized up wonderfully with manure, adequate moisture, and mulching. Under good storage conditions should last 10 months.
Last harvest, I lost some size to them, in the pics you can see I saved some large singles/rounds for planting.
