A Turban from Chengdu, China. I lost some in the first winter but I expect to have a nice winter hardy population in short order. Waiting to see how they make out this year under extra straw, and after that first year of loss. Oftentimes Turban and Asiatic garlic shipped from the Northwest sprouts too early the first year- sometimes a wee sprouted as I bust the bulb in mid October. After losing the weaker cloves, they usually start to delay their sprouting the second year. Average 7 cloves per bulb.
